Crude Oil

Crude Oil futures for October settled down -$1.19 or -1.242% at $94.59. Oil prices fell on Tuesday, extending losses into a 5th session after President Trump said US officials had a very good meeting with Iranian envoys and that there was a lot of momentum toward a deal. In his UN address, Trump said he had a “big decision” to make on whether to seek a negotiated deal with Iran or “annihilate the Islamic Republic,” adding that he believed a deal would follow the election.

Natural Gas futures for October settled up $.076 or 4.549% at $2.965. Natural gas prices soared today, reaching a multi-week high primarily driven by tightening output. Daily output was expected to fall to an 11-week low of 109.8 billion cubic feet per day on Tuesday, reducing short-term market availability.
