Crude Oil

Crude Oil futures for October settled down -$3.40 or -3.213% at $102.43. Oil prices fell on Wednesday, snapping a two-day rally as traders weighed efforts to restore Saudi Arabia’s critical East-West pipeline. Saudi Aramco is attempting to bypass damaged infrastructure to bring half its volume back online within days and reach full operation in six weeks, aligning with US Energy Secretary Chris Wright's near-term resolution timeline despite third-party analyst skepticism.

Natural Gas

Natural Gas futures for October settled down -$.028 or -.959% at $2.891. Natural gas prices slipped today as early profit-taking capped a rally that briefly pushed prices to multi-week highs. Despite lower 48 production dropping toward a two-month low of 108.4 bcfd and late-September forecasts calling for above-normal cooling demand, near-term selling pressure emerged ahead of upcoming inventory data.
