Oil prices rose on Thursday following three consecutive sessions of losses, as markets balanced easing Persian Gulf supply friction against rising disruptions to Russian energy exports. Expectations of smoother maritime transit grew after Iran’s military announced a revenue-sharing agreement with Oman regarding the strategic waterway.
Natural Gas
Natural Gas futures for September settled up $.065 or 2.287% at $2.907. Natural gas prices climbed to reach a five-week peak following official EIA inventory figures that revealed a lower-than-projected build.
