Crude Oil futures for September settled up $3.95 or 5.052% at $82.13. Oil prices surged on Monday, driven by escalating anxiety surrounding American-Iranian negotiations to resolve their ongoing conflict and restore free transit through the Strait of Hormuz.

Natural Gas futures for September settled up $.132 or 4.959% at $2.794. Natural gas prices jumped today as daily feedgas deliveries across the country's nine primary export facilities trended toward a four-week peak of 17.9 bcfd.
