Crude Oil

Crude Oil futures for August settled down -$2.87 or -3.920% at $70.34. Oil prices continued to slip on Wednesday, primarily because accelerating tanker traffic within the Strait of Hormuz and diplomatic strides in US-Iran peace talks successfully alleviated global supply anxieties.

Natural Gas

Natural Gas futures for July settled up $.074 or 2.351% at $3.221. Natural gas prices rose today following a swift 3% contraction during the prior trading session. Meteorological projections indicate unseasonably low temperatures blanketing the Mid-Atlantic region between June 23 and 27, a shift heavily anticipated to depress the overall volume of electricity needed to power residential air-conditioning units.
