Crude Oil

Crude Oil futures for July settled up $2.26 or 2.41% at $96.02. Oil prices increased on Wednesday following new EIA data that revealed an unexpected 7.97 million barrel stockpile depletion. This sixth consecutive contraction far exceeded the projected 4 million barrel forecast, even as political commentary from President Donald Trump hinted at an openness to negotiate a non-nuclear framework directly with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

Natural Gas futures for July settled up $.047 or 1.484% at $3.214. Natural gas prices rose today in anticipation of federal inventory reports, which market participants project will reveal a fractional expansion of the existing overhead supply surplus.
