Crude Oil futures for June settled up $3.24 or 3.073% at $108.66. Oil prices rose this Monday amidst highly turbulent trading. Market participants are actively assessing breaking geopolitical developments after President Trump announced he was deferring a planned military strike on Iran at the urging of leaders from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, signaling that substantive negotiations are currently in progress.

Natural Gas futures for June settled up $.064 or 2.162% at $3.024. Natural gas prices ascended today, touching a seven-week peak as investors reacted to a standard inventory build and a sustained contraction in production. The EIA confirmed an injection of 85 bcf into reserves, a figure that mirrored market expectations and the historical five-year benchmark while remaining significantly below the prior year's volume.
