Crude Oil futures for June settled up $4.25 or 4.201% at $105.42. Oil prices were surged this Friday, marking a significant weekly climb as the Strait of Hormuz remains essentially impassable. Domestic energy sentiment is increasingly anxious as geopolitical gridlock persists, with President Donald Trump oscillating between claiming the US is independent of the passage and later joining President Xi Jinping in a demand to see the waterway reopened.

Natural Gas futures for June settled up $.066 or 2.281% at $2.960. Natural gas prices gained today, touching a seven-week peak as investors reacted to a standard inventory build and a sustained contraction in production.
